Our CEO, Pádraig Neylon, returned last week from an energising visit to the HOMES UK conference at the ExCeL in London, one of the most important annual gatherings for housing professionals, asset managers, housing associations, local authorities, and organisations driving innovation across the sector.
This year’s event brought together thousands of attendees, and it was a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, partners, and customers, as well as meet organisations exploring new ways to transform how they manage their stock, deliver maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance.
Strong Themes Across the Sector
Throughout the two day event, clear themes emerged from conversations, presentations, and panel discussions. Housing providers are operating in a challenging climate, but there’s a sense of real determination and ambition to improve how homes are managed and maintained.
As Pádraig shared:
“Every conversation I had reinforced the same priorities, strengthening risk management, raising the bar on compliance, and unlocking the power of data and digital transformation to deliver safer, smarter, more sustainable homes.”
These themes reflect what we are hearing every day from clients across Ireland and the UK:
Higher standards for data accuracy and auditability
The need for more efficient, transparent maintenance processes
Growing pressure to demonstrate robust compliance management
A desire to break down silos and improve collaboration between teams, contractors, and surveyors
The urgent requirement for better tools to support stock condition surveys, planned maintenance, and long-term asset strategies
Events like HOMES UK highlight how committed the sector is to innovating for the future and improving outcomes for residents. It’s inspiring to see so many organisations investing in new ways of working and embracing technology to support safer, more efficient housing services.
For us at +AddJust, it’s also an invaluable opportunity to understand the evolving needs of housing teams and ensure our platform continues to grow in ways that genuinely support their day-to-day challenges.
We’re already looking forward to attending again next year, continuing these conversations, strengthening relationships, and playing our part in supporting a more resilient, data driven housing sector.
